Check engine light with arrow pointing down.

The picture symbol in essence is an engine seen from the side is the same as the check engine light with a down pointing arrow to indicate that the power is reduced. The engine light in my 2006 ion came on as well as a smaller engine light on the right of the dash board with a down arrow. Going at 7 pm to get the codes read but was curious if any one knew anything about this light or. The check engine light has been going on and off for a while but the code suggests the problem is back by the fuel tank and something to do with venting.
